Cannot find engine configuration fileLog Checker was installed by an IT support person with admin privileges on a computer running XP. The user then tried to run Log Checker 4 and received the 'Cannot find engine configuration file' message
The error indicates that your PC has been locked down by IT policies which is preventing the Borland Database Engine from running / installing correctly. Check security on registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Borland and directory / files program files\Borland\Common Files\BDE\IDAPI32.CFG. If it doesn't work
Note: if you installed Log Checker to a non default location use that directory instead. 2.11.1. Expand the C: drive 2.11.2. Delete the LogCheckerData directory 2.11.3. Expand the Program Files folder 2.11.4 Delete the LogChecker directory 2.12. Reboot your computer 2.13. Login as an administrator 2.14. Now try the installation again
