Program file Locations
The data files and programs are located in separate directories. They are
Programs : program files\LogChecker4
Data Files : c:\LogCheckerData
Data Backups : c:\LogChecker\backup
BDE files: program files\Borland\Common Files\BDE
BDE config: program files\Borland\Common Files\BDE
The installation only prompts for the data files location. It is recommended that you accept the default location of c:\LogCheckerData

Paradox Networking File
Log Checker uses the Borland Paradox database which is file based.. It uses a file named PDOXUSRS.NET to control locking. Originally this file was automatically created in the root directory of the C drive. Vista now restricts this, so the file is now created during the installation in the c:\LogCheckerData directory and Log Checker updates the Borland Database Engine to use this new location.
When networking computers, this file and the log checker data files need to be accessed by the same drive / path name.
Administrator and Vista UAC requirements
The setup program will need administrative rights in order to install and activate Log Checker
The following programs require administrative rights
program files\LogChecker4\LC4.exe
main Log Checker program, updates itself and adjusts db configuration when needed
C:\Program Files\Borland\Common Files\BDE\BDECFG.EXE
Borland database configuration utility
Program files\LogChecker4\Logchecker_Repair.exe
Utility to reindex, rebuild the paradox files.
Vista manifest files have been included for these files
