Appling an Update Manually
These instructions will vary for each release.
These instructions are for updating a 4.0 or 4.1 system to 4.2
You will need administrator rights to perform this. Vista users may also need to be logged in as a full administrator depending on how the security has been setup on your computers.
- Click on LC4_420.exe and save it to a temporary location on your computer.
- Ensure Log Checker 4 is closed.
- Open explorer and change to the 'C:\Program Files\LogChecker4' directory
- copy the lc4_420.exe from your temporary location program to the 'C:\Program Files\LogChecker4' directory
- Rename the existing LC4.exe to LC4.old
- rename lc4_420.exe to LC4.exe
- Now start Log Checker normally
