Migrating Data from Log Checker 3
Log Checker 4 is a new program and the data files have changed. Both versions can be installed on the same machine as they do not share any program or data files.
In order to migrate your data you will need to
 | install Log Checker 4 on the same computer as Log Checker 3. |
| start the migration program |
| Start-> All Programs -> Log Checker 4 -> Migrate Data from Log Checker 3 to 4 |
| Remember to make a backup of the Log Checker 4 data after the migration |
Special Note about migrating Data from Log Checker 3.2
The data files changed between Versions 3.2 and 3.3. You will need to upgrade your 3.2 version to 3.3 first.
| Download the 3.3 upgrade |
| backup your Log Checker 3.2 Data and program files first. |
| Now Open the downloaded file |
| A message will display that 1 file is about to be extracted. Click on Ok |
| A message will display the default location for the Log Checker Program (logchecker.exe). Make sure Overwrite files is ticked and press unzip. |
| Now restart your computer |
| Open Log Checker. When it starts it will update your data files for 3.3 |
| Close Log Checker 3 |
| Restart your computer and run the migration as above |
